Hello! I'm Derrick Dryer, a passitonate technology enthusiast. Welcome to my personal blog where I share my journey, projects, and insights into the world of technology.

My Journey

I started my journey when I was young and got my first video game system, the Playstation or was it the gameboy. Either way, I have always had a passion for technology and have built many computers for personal use and for others. Over time I began to want to explore enterprise and open-source technology and begun my own home-lab and even started to learn how to better my home networking.

Skills and Expertise

• Home Lab: Virtualization with Proxmox, Docker containers, and various VMs.
• Networking: Setting up and managing home networks, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Hardware: Building and maintaining custom PCs, NAS systems, and other hardware projects.
• Automation: Using tools like Ansible to automate home lab setups and configurations.
• Development: Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, & YAML (I am no expert here at all, I just try my best.)
